Today, I want to give you a quick tip how to find roles in your area using a well known tool for it: Google.

A simple query like this could send you a ton of open roles in your specific area. Let’s show this with an example.

The search query will be like this “data engineering jobs near San Diego” and the results are:

I wanted to make sure if the positions were still open, so I clicked in a bunch of them.

The most interesting thing is that you can filter these jobs search results as well:

So, you can see the recency of the job, and even the job type (Full Time, Part Time, Intership and Contract).

Even you can follow the results, and you will get an alert of those searches in your email.

That’s it. In today’s search for San Diego, I found 84 job listings posted in the last 3 days. This could be a great way to find new roles in your area every single day, if you are on an active search.
